How Do I Find Out If I Have PPI

If you have been paying on a loan that seems as though the payments are inordinately high for what you have borrowed, you may be asking yourself, "How do I find out if I have PPI?" Of course when money is tight we always think payments are too high, but if you really feel that your loan or credit card repayments are extremely higher than you had anticipated you may not need to ask "How do I find out if I paid PPI?" because the answer is probably staring you in the face. If you are over-paying then, yes, chances are good that you have been mis sold PPI! Now the question is how to go about reclaiming PPI which you hadn't known you were paying.

Reclaiming Bank Charges

After finding the answer to "How do I find out if I paid PPI?" you know that you have paid bank charges that you need to recover. The best way, and perhaps the only way, to recover those bank charges is to file a PPI claim for a refund with the lender who mis sold payment protection insurance to you. Keep in mind that you will be claiming back more than just the PPI premiums when you claim back bank charges. You will also be claiming back any interest you paid on the insurance as well. This is especially true of single payment loans where you were charged a onetime premium at closing. The lender, in effect, loaned you the money to pay your insurance that they so kindly sold you. In addition to paying back the loan for the premium, you also need to pay interest for the privilege of borrowing that extra money. Wasn't that so gracious of the lender to sell you something you didn't want, didn't need or didn't know about and then ask you to pay interest on that loan?

" Chances are if you took out a loan in the UK within the past six to ten years you did just that! Now let the claims team get it all back for you.
