Loans with Payment Protection

Today just about all loans come with some sort of payment protection insurance, also called PPI, attached to them. Much of the time loans payment protection is mis sold and this is what all the fuss has been about lately in the UK. There is news all over the media in regards to this issue. In fact, anyone over the age of 10 has probably heard of PPI and the mis selling of such. Lenders are being fined significantly, claims are being filed and all sorts of chaos has ensued as a result of loans with payment protection that has been mis sold.

Do Loans With Payment Protection Benefit Anyone?

Some people have had great results from paying into a PPI policy for years, the operative word being some. Only about 13 to 15% of all people who submit claims for loans with payment protection insurance are approved. This means that the other 80 plus percent are basically out their money. Simply put, whilst there are a few random people who have had great experiences with their payment protection insurance, the reality is there have been many more reports of horrible experiences. The truth of the matter seems to be that people who can barely afford to keep their loans paid off are the ones who are being hit the hardest with this racket.

What If Your Claim Is Denied?

If you do file a PPI claim and for some reason it is denied then you are entitled to a good explanation. If it comes to light that your lender signed you up for a payment protection plan that you were not truly eligible for then you may have grounds to file a claim for mis sold PPI in order to try and obtain a refund on any of the money you have paid toward PPI. Loans payment protection companies have very specific rules where cover is concerned. There are a lot of different circumstances in which they will not approve cover. If you find that you have fallen into this category and have been sold PPI when you truly would never have qualified for it had you gone to the loans payment protection company yourself, then you definitely have grounds for a complaint and for filing PPI refund claim.
