Those suffering with credit card charges will no doubt know that not being able to pay debts is "incredibly stressful".That is according to Gordon Bell, chief executive of the Consumer Credit Counselling Service, the national debt charity. His comments follow a BBC report that revealed that there has been a dramatic increase in the number of people needing prescriptions for anti-depression drugs. It revealed that the number of these prescriptions has risen by 43 per cent over the past four years.Mr Bell said: "Being unable to repay what you owe is incredibly stressful. This stress can spill over into all aspects of a person's life, damaging their relationships, their ability to hold down a job and often leading to depression."The link between money worries and depression is being increasingly addressed by the credit industry, government and advice sector."He added that it is important that the focus is kept on this issue so that people who are suffering from depression because of money worries are given the support they require.Charles BakerCharles is a reputed financial analyst with almost decades of experience under his belt.
