Many people across Britain may be having trouble talking about issues such as bank charges. Insurance firm Bright Grey has revealed that the top three issues that Brits feel uncomfortable talking about are sex, money and death. Money is the third most taboo subject of consumers in the UK, with illness and sexual orientation being fourth and fifth respectively. Roger Edwards, proposition director at Bright Grey, said: "The downside of not talking about issues, or putting them off altogether is the equivalent to leaving the washing up in the sink - it all builds up until it's a lot bigger than it was originally. "When financial conversations do happen it tends to be women that initiate them." He revealed that women are responsible for raising financial conversations 59 per cent of the time. Findings also showed that only two per cent of Brits say sorting out their finances was their most hated chore. Despite this, it is the task that people put off for the longest period.
