Credit card charges: Work and financial stress 'related'
An expert has said that work and financial stress are interconnected, which may not surprise those currently having to pay credit card charges.
Terri Bodell, The Stress Doctor, a clinical psychotherapist specialising in life skills development, claims that people are still concerned about being made redundant, meaning people are worrying about losing their financial income.
She said: "Work is really a primary part of our lives, and anything that goes on there is going to impact on us. Finances are going to impact on all areas of our lives - home, work, social, everything. So they are probably the two primary factors for stress.
"I think they're very much interconnected."
Ms Bodell's comments follow research by cancer charity Everyman, which found that the average Brit spends around 36 minutes of every day worrying.
It found that financial security concerns were most prevalent concern, with work issues also a significant worry.
