Personal Payment Protection Claims

Proving Mis Sold PPI

If you think you may be entitled to make personal payment protection claims, there are a few things you should consider before you begin the process. Firstly, the grounds upon which you are making your claim for mis-selling. Were you sold a policy you did not want or could not use? Were you told you had to have the cover or it would guarantee your loan was approved? Were you put under undue pressure to take up the cover? If you answered 'yes' to any of these questions your policy may have been mis-sold and you may be entitled to make personal payment protection claims.  The next step in the process is to write to your lender and outline your complaint. Some lenders have substantial backlogs so you may have to wait several weeks for your complaint to be investigated. If your lender advises you they do not believe your policy was mis-sold you will then normally be able to appeal this decision. If your claim is rejected again you may then take the decision to submit it to the Financial Ombudsman for review. The Ombudsman is impartial and will review your case and award compensation if they believe it is appropriate. Although you can go through this process alone many people opt to use a  PPI claims company to help them with their personal payment protection claims.

Working with a PPI Claims Company

When choosing a PPI claims company you should always look for one registered with the Ministry of Justice because that is the agency overseeing PPI claims activities. Working with a PPI claims company offers consumers peace of mind in knowing that they have a designated team working on their PPI claim so that they will have the best representation possible. Before you decide to contract with any company in particular talk to them about what they charge for their services. You should be able to find a company that works for you on a no win no fee contingency basis. The PPI Claim Company will only take a fee if they win the claim for you. This is what you are looking for in a company to help you with filing personal payment protection claims. The whole PPI reclaim process should run effortlessly in the background so that you can go on about your daily life leaving the frustrations to the experts.

If you have been looked in to file personal payment protection claims against the lender who mis-sold PPI to you then you can do no better than contracting with The PPI Claim Company. There are always claims specialists available to handle any questions you may have regarding this claim or the process of claiming in general.
