PPI Complaints

In the last six years there has been a massive increase in the number of people making payment protection insurance claims. This rise has been largely caused by the rise in cases of mis-selling. There have now been in excess of 1.5 million PPI complaints of this nature and many of these people have received payment protection refunds.

Who Has PPI?

Have you received a loan in the past 6 to 10 years? Do you have credit cards? Are you making monthly mortgage payments? If you have answered yes to any of these three questions you could quite possibly have payment protection insurance. A large majority of lenders set up payment protection insurance policies for their borrowers through sister companies so that even if the loan is not completely repaid they have already made their fair share of interests off the loan given to the borrower. Sadly many times it is done without the borrower's knowledge. Consumers are advised to check their loan agreements, bill statements, and other important documents relating to all loan companies because PPI complaints are on the rise. In many instances the policyholder of PPI may not know they have a policy thus, making it more difficult to figure out who has a valid PPI complaint.

How to Know Whether or Not to File a Claim

Whenever it is noted that there is a change in the amount of money being paid monthly for loans then there is sufficient reason to believe a PPI complaint should be made. If you have knowingly purchased payment protection insurance and are trying to get the company to pay the bills and they refuse to file a PPI complaint. If unsure of the way to handle the situation, PPI claims companies are available to help borrowers recoup lost money. In many cases these experts will be able to give an estimate on how much money can be expected to be received based on the amount of the loan, and the amount of money already paid towards the PPI policy.

Some of the most common PPI complaints include the borrowers that upset about not being notified of the amount of money they have paid towards a policy that is not beneficial to them, individuals that discover that they are ineligible for coverage based on pre-existing medical history, age, or of the factors.
