Claim Back Loan Insurance

PPI Refund Calculator

Knowing that you need to file a claim against your lender for mis selling PPI is only a small portion of the battle ahead. You will need to be able to detail exactly how PPI was mis sold in order to prove your claim, then you will need all the documents to support your allegations along with rough  calculations as to what is owed to you and for what reasons. Mis sold PPI can only be substantiated by following exact definitions as being set forth by the government and in order to claim back PPI you need to know how much you are owed! There is a handy little online tool called a PPI refund calculator that can make your job so much easier in this regards.

What Does an Online PPI Refund Calculator Do?

Basically, an online PPI refund calculator is a small program that is on the website of a number of PPI claims companies. They are also called claims estimators as well, but the concept is the same. There is a fillable form on the website wherein you simply need to plug in the figures asked for and upon hitting 'enter' you will be given a rough idea of just how much you have paid at any given point in time. You will need to know the rate you are being charged - generally between 13 and 25% for loan insurance - along with the amount of your loan (prior to the PPI premium being tacked on) and how many months the loan term is. That is the most common information you will be required to have but sometimes a PPI refund calculator does factor in other things as well.

Where to Find an Online PPI Refund Calculator?

Most professional claims management companies have an online PPI refund calculator that is free to use and will give consumers a rough estimate of what they can expect to get when claiming back bank charges. If you aren't familiar with any of the leading PPI claims management companies a quick Google should bring up an assortment to choose from. Simply type in the search phrase "PPI claim company" and at least a few should be there for you to investigate. The PPI refund calculator may be called a claims calculator, refund calculator, refund estimator or something else along those lines. You will usually find a link to it on the front page of the website so look around a bit before assuming that company doesn't have one available.

One thing to be aware of is that estimating what you have paid into mis sold PPI isn't all that you can qualify for under certain circumstances. Take the time to talk with the claims team on 0207 471 2000 to see what you may be able to make a payment protection claim.
