Refund of Loan Protection

If you are carrying more than one loan then you are probably also carrying at least one payment protection insurance policy. There is even an off chance that you are unaware that you are carrying this policy. The first thing to do would be to check all of your bank and loan statements to see if there are any charges present that do not seem familiar to you. If you see something that looks suspect then you may want to inquire with your financial institution to see what those charges are about. If you should find that any of them are for loan protection cover that you purchased without any knowledge then you are probably entitled to a refund of loan protection cover. This is because you may be dealing with what is known as mis sold payment protection insurance. There are a few ways in which this can happen and often does.

How Do Lenders Mis Sell PPI?

There are many different strategies lenders use to mis sell PPI. One of the main ways seems to be not even telling the borrower that the loan protection will be applied in the first place. This means essentially tacking the extra money for the loan insurance onto the monthly payment without a word. This method of mis selling loan insurance will automatically qualify someone for payment protection refunds. Another common way of misselling payment protection insurance is selling it to people who have conditions that would not enabled them to use PPI. For example, a person with an illness that is chronic and has a tendency to flair up every so often will not receive benefits should he/she become ill with that condition as it is known as pre-existing. Also, PPI never covers any type of back injury. This means if someone is injured on a job in his/her back region then the cover would not pay the payments. Age is another factor many lenders tend to leave out when selling PPI to older people. This could easily qualify someone for a refund of loan protection.

How Do I Know If I am Eligible for a Refund on Loan Protection?

If this question is even one that has crossed your mind then you may want to contact someone at the PPI Claims Company, Belmont Thornton to get their expert advice on your situation. If you have been mis sol PPIU and are eligible for a refund of loan protection payments then we will be able to steer you in the right direction in terms of how to go ahead with your payment protection insurance claims. In addition, Belmont Thornton will never charge you an advanced fee of any kind for a consultation or handling your claim. In fact, until you are able to realise a refund on loan protection we will not ask you for a pound. This will make filing a claim much easier on you.

Do not just take everything in stride. If there is something that you find suspicious on your statements, do not wait until years have gone by and you have paid into a policy for all those years before taking steps toward getting a refund on loan protection.
