Just because you have been mis sold PPI
doesn't necessarily mean that it will be easy getting those bank charges back.
The first thing you will need to do is substantiate how you were mis-sold PPI
and then you will need to figure out how much money was taken from you. Next you
need to figure out how to file a claim against your lender. This is just the
beginning. Once the lender has your claim they can either approve it or deny it.

The first step in getting those bank charges back is to file a claim against the lender as mentioned above. You will need to be very specific in regards to how you were mis sold payment protection. There are a number of ways in which you can prove that you have been mis-sold PPI which can be found on the website of the Citizens Advice Bureau, the Financial Services Authority or anyone of a number of professional PPI claims companies. If you can prove that you didn't know this cover was being added to your loan, your lender knew you would be eligible for this cover or that you were coerce you into buying it you will have a very good case which is necessary in getting those bank charges back.
Filing a Claim to Get Those Bank Charges Back
Your complaint should include information regarding the reasons you believe your
policy was mis-sold. You should be as specific as possible and include copies of
any supporting documentation. Once your complaint is received you will
ordinarily receive with an offer of settlement, a request for further
information or a rejection. If your lender requests more information you should
provide this as soon as possible to enable your lender to investigate your
claim. If your claim is rejected you should check whether you are eligible to
have your complaint reviewed by the Financial Ombudsman Service.
