Missold Payment Protection
In the past many people who took out loans, mortgages or credit cards were also
sold something called payment protection cover. The catch is that no one over the age of 65 is
usually able to receive the benefits of a policy such as this. This means essentially that these people
have been missold payment protection. The trouble occurs when this mistake is
not caught in a timely manner. This means the person pays into the policy for a
number of years before it becomes evident that he/she was missold payment
protection. When this happens the one thing that becomes crystal clear right
away is that the money he/she has paid for the policy with the monthly payments
has essentially gone right out the window. As a result the natural reaction is
to try and get the money back.
