PPI refunds: Consumers should trust their instincts financially

Consumers seeking out payment protection refunds should consider trusting their instincts when it comes to financial decisions.

Georgina Burnett, presenter producer, journalist and life coach, claims that people have "a lot going on" when they are making choices about their finances.

She said: "Listen to what your gut is saying - generally it knows what is right to do.

"That's important, because we're bombarded with information from marketing companies that want us to do something with our money, so make sure that it's an internal decision about how you're dealing with money and balancing finances.

Ms Burnett added that people should tap into their "gut instinct" when making financial decisions as this can be very important.

Her comments follow research by Yakult, which revealed three quarters of us still make important decisions based on our gut instincts.

It found that a quarter of people said they had secured a better job by trusting their gut feelings.
