Loan refunds: To save money 'cut back on luxuries'

Consumers who are looking to obtain loan refunds should make sure they cut back on luxuries as much as they can.

This is because Jasmine Birtles, founder of money advice website moneymagpie.com, claims that cutting back on these items is one of the main ways people can save money.

She said: "The two main ways [are cutting back on luxuries wherever possible and getting things cheaper where possible. Also, you can earn extra cash on the side and it's the second one people need to be thinking about.

"Quite a lot of people are saying that they have cut as much as they can and that they can't cut anymore."

Ms Birtles added that people who have cut back as far as they can should look into making more money.

Recent research by MyVoucherCodes.co.uk found that a fifth of Brits have no money to spare for social spending or unnecessary purchases.
