PPI Claim: Christmas 'costs are worrying'

Those worried about the cost of Christmas could check to see if they can make a payment protection claim or ascertain if they are eligible for a loan refund.

Half of British consumers state they are anxious about the financial implications of the festive period this year, according to a new study from Which?

Richard Lloyd, the executive director of the group, said people will need to make some cutbacks on their spending due to the prevailing economic climate which has led to increased living costs.

The research found that one in four individuals will save money by buying fewer people presents this year, while one-tenth of consumers will invest in an artificial Christmas tree so they can reuse it in the future.

Recent research from Skipton Financial Services revealed that families in the UK need to earn £32,702 just to cover essential annual costs such as housing and energy bills.
