Payment Protection Lawyers

If you have been mis-sold a payment protection policy on a loan, mortgage or credit card in the past then you may be entitled to make a complaint for mis-selling. If your complaint is successful you could be entitled to thousands of pounds in compensation. If you believe you have been unjustly sold a policy then you may have considered hiring payment protection lawyers. The trouble is that these kinds of lawyers can be expensive.

Another alternative

If you don't want to handle your claim yourself, there is an alternative to a lawyer in the form of a PPI claims company. PPI claims company's will handle your whole claim on your before. Corresponding with your lender and negotiating the settlement of your claim. If necessary they will also refer your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service or the Financial Service Compensation Scheme for review.

Fees Associated with PPI Claims Companies

If you hire payment protection lawyers to handle your payment protection claim it is likely you will be billed by the hour. This could prove to be expensive and you are likely to still have to pay their fees even if your claim is unsuccessful. PPI claims companies, on the other hand, usually work on a no win no fee basis meaning if they do not win your claim you do not have to pay anything. There are some PPI claims companies who do charge upfront fees, so make such you avoid these and that the one you choose is regulated by the Ministry of Justice with respect to claims management activities.

You are no more likely to succeed with with your payment protection claims if you use payment protection lawyers or handle your claim on your own, but if you do not have time to manage your claim a PPI claims company can be a good alternative.

To find out more about the claims process and whether you could be entitled to making a PPI claim, call the PPI claims company on 0207 471 2000.
