PPI Black Horse

You have probably heard about the scandal surrounding the sale of payment protection insurance. Thousands of customers have already made complaints and many thousands more may have a policy they do need or did not request. If you are unsure whether your PPI Black Horse policy was mis-sold you need to consider the information you were given and the questions you were asked at the point of sale.

The sales representative should have made you fully aware of all the terms and conditions of the policy as well as explaining the all associated costs. In addition, your suitability for the policy should have been assessed and the representative should have confirmed you were eligible for the cover. If you feel you were let down by your lender and were sold a policy that was not suitable for you or that you were duped into buying a policy you didn’t need, you have the right to make a claim.

We work on a no win no fee* basis and you could be entitled to thousands of pounds in compensation. In addition to assisting customers who have been mis sold payment protection, we also help customers recover unfair bank charges.

In 2006 The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) investigated the way lenders were applying charges to customers’ accounts for late payments and over limit fees. It was discovered that some of the charges applied were disproportionately high and were unfair to the customer. Following their investigation, The OFT announced that £12 was the maximum amount they considered to be fair with regard to credit card charges of this type. As a consequence of the investigation, most lenders have dropped their charges to this level, but many customers steal feel aggrieved that, for many years, they were forced to pay charges that have now been deemed unfair. Fortunately, the OFT’s findings mean that if you made unfair charges in the past you can now make a complaint.
