PPI Letter

It seems as though there is so much attention being given to a PPI letter that most people are not understanding there is more to filing a PPI claim than writing a simple letter. A letter is good; no doubt about it, but a PPI letter should not, and cannot, substitute for a PPI claim. Also, there may be times when more than one letter will be in a PPI claim file so it is important to understand the different types of PPI letters which can, and should, be used in conjunction with filing a claim.

PPI Letter of Introduction

As we learned in school, any formal communication with a business entity should be accompanied by a formal letter of introduction. A PPI letter of introduction needs to state clearly and briefly the point of filing the claim, in this instance that would be reclaiming PPI. You could briefly state your reasons for believing you were mis sold PPI cover as well as a summary of what you believe to be fair compensation for what you paid into mis sold PPI along with any compensatory monies due to hardships caused as a result of the mis sale of payment protection insurance. Thank the lender for his/her attention in this matter and end with a formal closing. Don't forget to note the loan number and any contact information in the heading at the top of the page. The letter will be the first page of a claim packet submitted to the lender and will be accompanied by any supporting documents along with a financial statement of what is a fair and equitable settlement.
