Claim Back Loan Insurance

PPI Producer

Whenever you have been mis sold payment protection insurance the first thing you need to do is consider how best to file a claim against the lender. Some people choose to file on their own while others look to a PPI producer to file payment protection insurance claims for them. In either case, there are steps which must be taken to ensure that all is in order before submitting claims to the lender for a PPI refund. Here are some pointers that can help you get everything in order before deciding whether you want to file on your own or use the services of a PPI producer.

Substantiating Mis Sold PPI

The first thing you can do is determine whether or not you are really eligible for a PPI claim and that will be determined by having been mis sold PPI. There appears to be some amount of controversy as to who can file a claim against the lender. Unless the lender mis sold PPI cover to you there is no way to file for payment protection refunds. You can usually find the criteria for declaring a PPI policy mis sold on the site of any number of claims management companies, often referred to as a PPI producer. However, a quick run through of some basic questions should tell you whether or not to pursue mis sold PPI definitions. Were you sold PPI without knowing that it was added to your policy? Did the lender know you were ineligible due to pre-existing medical conditions, your employment status or even your age? Were you told that the loan was contingent upon purchasing PPI cover? If you can answer yes to any of those preliminary questions then you should do some further investigation into the definitions of exactly what a mis sold PPI policy is.

Filing on Your Own or with a PPI Producer

There are pros and cons to any dilemma but choosing between filing on your own or with a PPI producer is basically determined by whether or not you understand the claims process well enough and if you have time on your hands to stay on top of the claim as it goes through each step of the process.
