Unfair Credit Card Charges

When a person is mis sold PPI many things can happen, the first of which is that charges can show up on his/her credit card. These unfair credit card charges may go unnoticed for a small period of time but after awhile the person may become keen to the fact that his/her card is being charged a lot more than it should be with each monthly statement. Many times credit card companies automatically attach what is known as credit card loan protection insurance. This is also known as payment protection insurance. The biggest problem lies when the card holder is not made aware that the charges are being added. Suddenly a group of unfair credit card charges show up on the statement, knocking the card holder for a loop.

A Good Case for Mis Sold PPI

Mis sold payment protection comes in all forms. On some loans the payment protection is paid in one big lump sum of money in the beginning of the loan. However, when it comes to credit cards then that is not the case. This is why so many people are oblivious to what is going on for significant periods of time. The unfair credit card charges show up as just a little bit of interest or as a surcharge or fee. At first a normal person may just shrug it off thinking it must be normal. However, once those charges are seen regularly then the typical reaction would be to begin asking questions about the unfair credit card charges. If you have had these charges added to your credit card bill but have never been made aware of their reason for being there then you have probably an excellent case for claiming mis sold payment protection.

Analyzing Unfair Credit Card Charges

Once you begin to notice that something is wrong then the next move would be to gather all of your credit card bills, dating back to the day you began the account and to look at each and every statement. Can you see those unfair credit card charges everywhere? Are they on every statement? What does the statement say that money is being used for? Perhaps there is an acronym next to it? The best thing to do before going any further is to call the credit card company and ask what the unfair credit card charges are being used for. If you are told that the charges are for loan protection insurance and you had no previous knowledge of that, then it would be wise to simply hang up the phone and contact Belmont Thornton, Belmont Thornton.
